چکیده

We compare the WMAP temperature power spectrum and SNIa data to models with a generalized Chaplygin gas as dark energy. The generalized Chaplygin gas is a component with an exotic equation of state, pX = −A/ρ α X (a polytropic gas with negative constant and exponent). Our main result is that, restricting to a flat universe and to adiabatic pressure perturbations for the generalized Chaplygin gas, the constraints at 95% CL to the present equation of state wX = pX/ρX and to the parameter α are −1 ≤ wX < −0.8, 0 ≤ α < 0.2, respectively. Moreover, we show that a Chaplygin gas (α = 1) as a candidate for dark energy is ruled out by our analysis at more than the 99.99% CL. A generalized Chaplygin gas as a unified dark matter candidate (ΩCDM = 0) appears much less likely than as a dark energy model, although its χ 2 is only two sigma away from the expected value.

Generalized Holographic Dark Energy Model

In this paper, the model of the holographic Chaplygin gas has been extended to two general cases: first the case of a modified variable Chaplygin gas and second the case of the viscous generalized Chaplygin gas. The dynamics of the model is expressed by the use of scalar fields and scalar potentials.

Gravitational waves in the generalized Chaplygin gas model

The consequences of taking the generalized Chaplygin gas as the dark energy constituent of the Universe on the gravitational waves are studied and the spectrum obtained from this model, for the flat case, is analyzed. Besides its importance for the study of the primordial Universe, the gravitational waves represent an additional perspective (besides the CMB temperature and polarization anisotro...

Cosmology with a Variable Chaplygin Gas

We consider a new generalized Chaplygin gas model that includes the original Chaplygin gas model as a special case. In this model the generalized Chaplygin gas evolves as from dust to quiessence or phantom. We show that the model is consistent with current type Ia supernova data for a broad range of parameters. N ov 2 00 7 Interacting generalized Chaplygin gas model in non - flat universe

We employ the generalized Chaplygin gas of interacting dark energy to obtain the equation of state for the generalized Chaplygin gas energy density in non-flat universe. By choosing a negative value for B we see that w ef f Λ < −1, that corresponds to a universe dominated by phantom dark energy.

Anisotropic Cosmological Models with a Generalized Chaplygin Gas

Anisotropic cosmological models with a generalized Chaplygin gas in a Finsler space-time geometry are considered and a class of exact solutions as well as cosmological parameters behaviors are studied. Moreover, the viability and stability criteria for a general solution are also discussed.
